As a model, Ms. Brown learned basic makeup artistry, which was required for much of her fashion work. She soon began to enjoy not only applying her own makeup, but also applying makeup on family and friends.  As Ms. Brown began to enjoy makeup application, she began studying and researching the beauty industry to further her education and also broaden her creative energy.

Ms. Brown's fifteen years experience as a fashion model and makeup artist opened her eyes to great opportunities in both industries.  "Beauty is a fashion accessory and as you update your wardrobe, you must stay current with makeup trends".  Ms. Brown became so fascinated by the beauty industry that she felt the best way to really learn the business was to work one-on-one with clients as a makeup artist in an upscale specialty department store.  During her first year at Saks Fifth Avenue, Ms. Brown worked as a resident makeup artist for Perscriptives cosmetics, owned by Estee Lauder.  As Ms. Brown began to learn the tricks of the trade, she remained as resident makeup artist, but moved to another makeup line in order to learn the philosophy of the Trish McEvoy line of beauty products.  Ms. Brown spent the next four years responsible for the growth of the Trish McEvoy line at Saks Fifth Avenue.

After five years of working as a makeup artist, consulting as an expert in the field, listening to clients and addressing client beauty concerns with successful results, Ms. Brown created her own cosmetic line called Fine Art Color.  Fine Art Color is a line multifunctional cosmetic accessories for the woman on the go.  Ms. Brown's years of training in the beauty industry, extensive experience and expertise has lead to the creation of a full range of products that cater to the needs of women of all lifestyles, ages and ethnicities.

Today, Ms. Brown continues to develop new and unique products for today's woman.  "It's all about having options and if Fine Art can combine the latest technology in packaging and quality product ingredients, we can create products that today's women demand".  While busy running Fine Art Color, Ms. Brown still enjoys teaching and training in all aspects of the fashion and beauty industry. Currently, Ms. Brown instructs kids, adults and
pageant contestants on an individual or group basis and in college classes, personal enrichment, runway & print modeling, makeup lessons and pageant coaching.  While working in a freelance capacity for several years, an overwhelming response from clients lead Ms. Brown to create Modeling A2Z.
