Have you ever thought about what it means to make a good first impression. A true first impression usually makes a lasting impression. So, whether you are starting a new school, joining a new club or interviewing for your very first job, think about these tips, practice them and they will become a natural part of you.
1. When meeting someone for the first time, eye contact with a pleasant smile is very important. First introduce yourself and wait for the other person to introduce themselves. If they don't, it's ok to politely ask them what their name is.
2. While looking at the other person with a pleasant smile, always speak slowly and clearly so that they doesn't have to ask you to repeat yourself.
3. Make sure you listen to what the other person is saying so that you don't have to ask them to repeat themselves and remember something of interest to you that you both have in common.
4. Create a dialog by asking questions of the things you have in common with the other person such as sports, hobbies, clubs and other interests.
5. Use the beauty within and just be you!
