Basic Brushes
The tools you use to apply your cosmetics can make all the difference:

1.   The one brush that you may not be familiar with is a foundation brush.  This brush can be used to apply both cream and liquid foundation, resulting in a smooth, even professional look.

2.   A large, soft and fluffy powder brush can be used to apply face powder and bronzing powder.  It's also a great tool for removing excess powder from the face.

3.   Two types of eyeshadow brushes are essential.  The first brush is small to medium in size.  It is used to lay eyeshadow on the eyelid.   The second brush is an eye contour brush that is used to create a crease, for blending and shading eyeshadow.

4.    A blush brush can be used to create a soft and natural blush of color on the checks.  There are many types of blush brushes.    Visit a professional makeup artist to match you with the perfect blush brush.

5.    If you have never used a lip brush, you are missing out on perfect lips.  A lip brush will give a finished and polished look.  A lip brush applies lipstick and lip gloss with control and precision; it will also conserve your product.

6.   Once you have mastered these brushes, try an eyeliner brush and a concealer brush.   A professional makeup artist is recommended to show you the appropriate way to apply both eyeliner and concealer with a brush.
